The Magic of Framed Memories with Mom

Every picture tells a story, as the saying goes.

The picture I chose to accompany this post is no different. Give me a moment and I’ll tell you about its story.

We lost my mother 10 years ago this year. Mom was quite camera-shy, so we don’t have many photos of her. However, I have one photo featuring both of us, and it’s incredibly special to me.

My heart and mind are filled to the brim with splendid memories of my mother. I think back daily to the special moments we shared, the times we cried, laughed, and argued, and I smile.

Every time I look at this frame—displayed prominently in my office—, it tugs at my heartstrings and brings a tear to my eye.

But it also reminds me of her beautiful soul and the love she had for me and our family.

I will be forever grateful to whoever took this picture, and to my sister, who framed it and gave it to me at Christmas a few years ago.
